Committed to driving change through economic empowerment, Jackie began her career as an investor with Sorensen Impact, a center housed at the University of Utah David Eccles School of Business that connects capital to social and environmental solutions.
After a year with Sorenson, Jackie went on to earn her M.Sc. in Economics for Development from the University of Oxford. Upon graduation, she moved to Africa to continue her impact work as an ODI Fellow with the Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Agency. For a year, she was hosted by Ethiopia’s Ministry of Agriculture, working as an economist consulting with large agricultural businesses across the country.
Most recently, Jackie was an Associate at the Cicero Group, a premier management consulting firm focused on implementing data-driven strategies for a broad mix of private, public, and social sector organizations across the globe. Since starting at Mercato in 2022, Jackie has joined the Stance and Atomic boards as an observer. She currently invests in the South, Southeast, and Pacific Northwest.
