The key to success is deciding what not to do.
Ben Davis is a Director at Mercato Partners and a member of the firm’s Investment Committee, where he focuses on identifying and investing in growth-stage companies as they design and scale effective go-to-market engines. He brings nearly three decades of experience building revenue organizations, leading enterprise sales motions, and executing strategic path-to-value plans that align complex revenue models across sales, marketing, and product teams. Ben has built and led high-growth revenue organizations across franchising, educational technology, services, and financial technology.
Ben has spent over 20 years in the C-suite of private equity and growth equity–backed companies, giving him a practical perspective on how boards and senior leadership teams work together to drive growth, maximize enterprise and shareholder value, and navigate difficult inflection points. His experience includes capital formation, strategic acquisitions, public and private market transactions, and scaling businesses through multiple stages of growth, with a consistent focus on turning strategy into repeatable commercial outcomes.
Most recently, Ben served as President and Chief Revenue Officer of Lendio, a Mercato Partners Fund III portfolio company, where he helped grow the business from $8 million to $125 million in annual revenue while leading revenue, operations, and execution across multiple business units.
Ben and his three adult children live in Utah and enjoy cheering for his BYU Cougars—where he found his love of intelligent, responsible growth through a BA in economics with a minor in philosophy.
