A Senior Associate for Mercato’s growth equity fund, Taylor first discovered his passion for private equity as the CEO of an angel-backed dorm room technology start-up. Upon graduation, he went on to join the Search Fund Accelerator in Boston and the Woodbury Corporation, a $4 billion AUM real estate development and investment group, as a private equity analyst responsible for deal sourcing, financial modeling, and underwriting.
In his role at Mercato, Taylor focuses his efforts on leading diligence efforts, and providing strategic guidance, governance counsel, and harvest support to the fund’s portfolio companies. Currently, he observes the Summersalt, Beam Benefits and Attain boards, and invests in the Midwest.
Taylor earned a B.S. in economics and a B.S. in finance from Utah State University, where he also served as a Student Ambassador to the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business.
