Giovanni is an Investment Analyst at Mercato's growth fund. As a proud Michigander and Midwesterner, Giovanni knows firsthand how cities outside traditional venture corridors don't receive the same attention and access to capital.
Prior to joining Mercato, Giovanni worked across several roles in university including Equity Research at MSU's Research Foundation, Risk & Financial Advisory at Deloitte, AI Business at Perplexity, Investment Banking at Guggenheim, and most recently Growth at Leland. In his role at Mercato, Giovanni focuses his efforts on supporting the firm's diligence efforts, sourcing, constructing AI workflows, and supporting portfolio companies.
Giovanni earned a B.A. in Finance from Michigan State University's Broad College of Business, beginning his studies at Schoolcraft Community College, in addition to attending WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management.
