If you take care of your partners, the profits will take care of themselves.
Erika is Head of Investor Relations at Mercato. She is passionate about building strong relationships with investors and creating thoughtful, transparent communication throughout the investment process. She brings experience across venture capital, corporate finance, and global financial services.
In this role, she manages relationships with the firm's limited partners, leads investor communications and fundraising efforts while coordinating closely with the investment and finance teams. She oversees investor reporting and firmwide communications, including quarterly updates, newsletters, and marketing materials, ensuring investors remain informed and engaged throughout the lifecycle of their investments.
Prior to Mercato, Erika worked in Investor Relations at Cross Creek, a Utah-based venture capital firm, where she cultivated relationships with existing limited partners while enhancing investor communications and reporting across their client base. She worked closely with the investment team to develop materials for current and prospective investors and helped coordinate investor events.
Earlier in her career, Erika worked at Cambridge Associates as a Global Business Development Associate within the firm's Pension Practice. There, she partnered with senior investment professionals to develop customized investment proposals and institutional RFP responses for pension funds and other large allocators. Through this experience, she gained a deep understanding of how institutional investors evaluate managers, construct portfolios, and make allocation decisions—perspective that continues to shape how she approaches investor relationships today.
Erika also served as a Senior Financial Analyst at Kodiak Cakes, where she built financial models and supported strategic decision-making across operations, marketing, and product development during a period of rapid company growth. She began her career at The Royal Bank of Scotland and Morgan Stanley in Private Wealth Management in New York City, where she first developed her passion for working with clients and understanding investor needs.
Erika earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Utah and is fluent in Spanish. She enjoys connecting with investors, learning about their goals and allocation strategies, and building long-term relationships grounded in trust and transparency.
