Ken Krull - principal
Ken Krull brings technology management experience and venture capital expertise to Mercato Partners. As a member of the investment team, Ken leads deal flow and due diligence efforts and is integrally involved in the oversight and management of the portfolio. Ken currently serves on the board of directors of Cymphonix and oversees investments in Fusion-io and Control4. Ken has long history with the managing directors and has worked at Mercato Partners since inception.
Prior to Mercato Partners, Ken worked on the investment team at vSpring Capital where he served on the board of directors and as board advisor to bio-medical, enterprise security and technology services businesses. Ken was also the CEO of Avinti, an enterprise security company, which was later acquired. Prior to his work at Avinti and vSpring, Ken was the Director of Enterprise Protection at TrendMicro, where he designed and developed the channel partners strategy and programs. Ken led a business unit at Peregrine Systems, pioneering work in search technology. Under his management, the business unit's revenue grew ten times. Ken is an adjunct professor at the University of Utah where he teaches new venture finance. Ken graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.A. in Economics and received an MBA from the Marriott School of Management.
