Aaron DeRose - principal

Aaron DeRose brings relevant transaction and corporate finance expertise to Mercato Partners. As a member of the investment team, Aaron leads due diligence efforts and provides oversight and value to the Mercato portfolio. Aaron currently serves on the board of directors of Stance, is a board advisor to Skullcandy and oversees Mercato Partners investment in MediConnect Global with Alan Hall. Aaron joined Mercato Partners in 2007, early in the fund's evolution.

Prior to Mercato Partners Aaron was a Corporate Finance Manager at Quiksilver, Inc. (NYSE: ZQK), where he was responsible for M&A activity, financial reporting to the Board of Directors, Audit Committee, and Executive Management team. Aaron also supervised team performance on quarterly forecasting and capital budgeting. Prior to joining Quiksilver, Aaron served as a Senior Consultant with Ernst & Young’s Business Risk Services group, where he consulted key clients such as Sony, Disney, Qualcomm, Raytheon, and Vans in SOX 404 and Internal Audit compliance. Aaron received his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Utah and completed an MBA in Finance from Pepperdine University, Graziadio School of Business.
